Oukka means home in Hakka, a dialect commonly spoken in East Malaysia where founder and designer Angie Sim is from. More than a word, it is a feeling, a sense of ease and comfort – that is reflected in Angie's design. Whether it's a home, an office or an eatery, it is not complete until you feel completely at home.

Angie enjoyed a good 18 years as an award-winning creative director in advertising. At the peak of her career, she took a month off to design and renovate her first home. Her aesthetic sense immediately won hearts and commissions alike, and having breathed oukka into dozens of spaces since. She hasn't looked back, except in gratitude.
