project dua

A home designed to evoke memories of the owner’s formative years. Raw bricks, unfinished concrete, old school louvered windows and herringbone wood floors conjure images of Singapore long forgotten. The kitchen, the life of the house in the good ol’ days, was brought up front so conversations, food and laughs are shared.

The heart of the house lies in the center where the original air well was. It allowed for a tree and natural light to flow into the house. A vertical corridor that was a feature shared on all 3 floors. A contemporary palette held it all together, giving the owner a home within a home.
